Afatasis Factions (Tarot-sized) (5e)
Simple mercenaries to bolster combat for low-level groups. Afatasi's 5e Factions is a deck of 90 blades for hire. Whether they are Freelance or belong to a lesser known splinter faction¸ they will keep your PC safe - or die trying. A5eFacts is a deck of mercenaries that require a daily cost of GP to serve your PC. My goal was to use them to bolster combat situations up to about level 6¸ but to not leave a large footprint in players' circumstances or engagement. I've attempted to achieve this by: • Using their daily cost to cover their upkeep needs¸ such as food and supplies for traveling (optional). • Having them take their action before or after the PC who employs them¸ rather than each one of them rolling Initiative. • Giving them "moves" that function as abbreviated versions of appropriate actions. Things that your PC can simply command them to perform on the spot. • Abbreviating the growth of their class - so as not discount their growth¸ but to abbreviate it in a way that promotes fluid comprehension and functionality from one who commands them. • Showing only their proficient skills and keeping their personality or narrative primarily open-ended to fit into any campaign setting. The hirelings will be represented at three separate stages of skill: • 1-star = level 1 • 2-star = level 3 • 3-star = level 6 Whether they're encouraged to reach these heights of their skill through gold or combat¸ is up to you and your DM. Enjoy their services your way. Orange Name Color - Everwatch Vigil: Mostly ex-guards¸ but no less devout as any other followers of Helm - as benevolent and righteous as they come. These mercenaries are ideal for good-aligned employers. Teal Name Color - Eye of Sapphire: Emerald Enclave is from one of the two islands referred to as the "Eyes of Sylvanas". The other island is called Wavecrest - that's where the Eye of Sapphire faction originates. These mercenaries are ideal for neutral-aligned employers. Purple Name Color - The Void Network: A splinter faction of the Zhentarim (AKA The Black Network). Shortly after their Manshoon clone leader was slain by another Manshoon clone¸ they've turned to paid work. These mercenaries are ideal for evil-aligned employers. The zip file contains all images!
