Ranger Adjusted (5e)
Ranger Adjusted: A small fix to make rangers more playable The goal of this update of the Ranger class is to put forward my homebrew fix for rangers¸ fixing both Favored Enemy and Natural Explorer and making the class more playable and more fun. The Ranger is widely considered to be the weakest of the classes. This may be a bit harsh¸ but there are clearly some systemic issues with the Ranger as shown by the two attempts so far to fix them in Unearthed Arcana¸ neither of which was a good method. what I've done here is to fix what's broken and not touch what works. Rangers in 5e are supposed to be the best two weapon fighters¸ archers¸ and trackers. But they missed a bit in two areas: Favored Enemy is too weak unless your DM gives you a heads up on what to expect¸ and Natural Explorer is both to limited and when it works it makes adventuring boring. I've fixed those two without making the class overpowered and without compromising archetypes.
