The Tome of Dimensional Conversions (5e)
The Old School Made New D&D's 3rd edition¸ if you account for 3.5e¸ was one of one of the most prolific and well-liked editions. With over 40 sourcebooks of material before you even begin with the setting-specific material¸ 3.5e offered a truly staggering variety of options for players and dungeon masters alike. The most recognizible way a player could pursue unique options for their characters was that edition's vast number of prestige classes¸ 3¸ 5¸ or 10 level classes you could take levels in once you fulfilled certain prerequisites¸ which offered abilities not otherwise available to a single classed or multiclassed character. The Tome of Dimensional Conversions takes prestige classes (and a few full classes!) and adapts them to the 5th edition ruleset¸ making new subclasses with varied and interesting abilities and flavor not previously seen. What You're Getting The Tome of Dimensional Conversions includes the following: Two new classes¸ based on material too strange to fit into a subclass: The Factotum¸ flexible jacks-of-all-trades that can emulate tha abilities of other classes and use a pool of lore to power intellect-fueled magical and martial abilities¸ and the Meldshaper¸ practitioners of the art of manipulating soul-stuff¸ known as Incarnum¸ complete with three subclasses that emulate the three core meldshaping classes from 3.5e: the Incarnate¸ the Soulborn¸ and the Totemist. 39 new subclasses¸ with at least two for every class in the Player's Handbook¸ ranging from anti-theist clerics and storm-calling bards to rogues that specialize in infiltrating hellish strongholds and wizards granted knowledge and magic by studying under coatls. 4 new feats A new cantrip for wizards¸ sorcerers¸ and bards Every class and subclass includes a brief summary of the subclass as originally presented in 3.5e¸ and a link to the DM's Guild page for the sourcebook they appeared in.
